Welcome!
My name is Deb Spencer (or as the children call me "Ms. Deb") and I am the Early Childhood teacher here at the Cherry Campus for the following programs: ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education), Learning Readiness Preschool, and Learn and Play. I received my Bachelor' of Arts Degree from the College of St. Scholastica with a focus in early childhood, kindergarten and elementary grades 1 - 6, and parent education. I received my Masters Degree in Special Education from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus. I also have a Developmental Cognitive Disabilities licensure from St. Cloud St. State University. After working in the St. Michael-Albertville School District for 24 years as the Early Childhood Coordinator, I returned "home" to Eveleth and began teaching the early childhood classes at the Cherry Campus. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my "furry" kids, my husband Tim, spending time outside and at the cabin as well as watching NASCAR/other racing events, and Minnesota sport teams. I LOVE the Vikings! I am so excited to be starting my 8th year here in the fall and to continue to get to know the children and their families! I look forward to seeing all of you!
