I am a Hibbing High School graduate of 94'. I started in science and engineering at Hibbing Community College and switched to teaching Mathematics at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. I have taught at Hermantown, Buhl Academy, Northeast Range, Cherry, Cotton, Orr, and South Ridge. During that time, I have taken on different leadership roles/coaching and furthered my education with graduate courses in mathematics, a graduate degree in instructional design, a Doctor of Philosophy in education, and most recently, obtaining an administrative k-12 principal license through a specialist program.  

I enjoy hiking, tennis, kayaking, pontoon rides, downhill skiing, and board/card games. I have one child, Chris, who is in his last undergrad year in Clinical Psychology. My wife of 28 years, Michelle, works for BCBS of MN, and we enjoy going down to the cities to see Chris and his wife, Morgan. If there is one word to describe me, it is curious. I am always learning from others and adapting to the environment around me. I am excited to be part of the Cherry School and all the wonderful events in curricular and non-curricular programs.
