ECFE Classes for the 2016-2017 School Year began on Monday, September 19. If you would like to join one of our classes, you are more than welcome to join anytime!!!
We look forward to seeing all of you!

Class times on Mondays:

  • 9:30 am - 11:30 am
  • 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
  • 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

We look forward to seeing returning and new families alike! Classes include activities for parents and children to enjoy together, a circle time, snack and play time for the children, and adult time for the parents. A parent or special adult must attend with the child. If you would like to give ECFE a try, please come to the class that best fits your schedule.


*** SPECIAL NOTE: The State of Minnesota requires that all children participating in ECFE and/or Learning/School Readiness programs need to be up-to-date on all immunizations in order to attend. Please double check with your physician that your child is up-to-date on immunizations so there are no missed school days.

Car Seat Clinics


Car Seat technicians and practitioners are available to check your car seat for proper use and installation. Please allow 30 minutes per seat check. Sponsored by Mesabi Safe Communities Coalition, Fairview Range, AAA of Minnesota/Iowa, and the Hibbing Fire Department. Visit your local library on wheels, Arrowhead Library System bookmobile. Books and reading with your child play such an important role in their learning! Go get some books for the whole family to enjoy!


SPECIAL EVENTS

Throughout the school year, ECFE hosts or collaborates on a variety of special activities, many of which are held in the evening to accommodate parents working outside of the home. Here are a few examples of the activities we had offered in 2015-2016: field trips, literature night, Wonderful Wednesdays, holiday-themed activities, and Tiger Tracks Night.


Mr. Ed's Farm Fieldtrip

Please join us for our last spring event! We are meeting at Mr. Ed's Farm on Monday, May 22, 6:00 - 7:30 PM. Mr. Ed's farm is a family friendly place to learn about and view domestic farm animals. The 160-acre farm has Percheron draft horses, sheep, goats, calves, chickens, pigs, ducks, geese, rabbits and border collies. The cost is $5 per person. Children 2 and under are free. We hope to see you there!!!

Directions: Take highway 37 to highway 5. Head south for 3 miles to Foss Road. Turn right (west) onto Foss Road. Mr. Ed's is the first place on the left side of the road.
